After 4 years away from Michigan, I'm looking to tutor individual students in many subjects. I can teach elementary and middle school level math, Spanish, language arts, and help with study, organizational skills, and homework. Additionally, I provide ISEE and SSAT test preparation assistance. I can also provide ELL/ESL tutoring for any aged student and am comfortable with high school language arts plus some elective subjects such as psychology.I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2006, with a B.A. in sociology. In 2011 I earned my master's degree in Social Work and have been a social worker for over 10 years in the nonprofit business. I've worked with children and youth during my professional career. Specializing in art and education programming, I have served as a tutor, assistant teacher, mentor, nanny, program manager, and camp counselor to kids. I recently worked as an instructor and a caregiver for a family in Chicago, providing daily tutoring and helping their 3 kids with homework. Prior to that I was offering tutoring and homework help for Somali refugees in Seattle.I can help in many areas. When not tutoring or volunteering with disaster relief organizations, I like to read, travel, and spend time outdoors.
