I've always been good at Explaining History, so I went to school, got my degree, and now, I can translate this explaining into educating. Besides my school field experience, and my student teaching, the only other experience that I have is: I tutored a Hungarian woman in English for about a year. During my student teaching, my cooperating teacher allowed me to have almost free reign on teaching units. I developed lessons, assignments, and assessments for three lessons in one semester. My focus on education, in terms of Social Studies, deals with the literacy of the content, and why events happened more than the events and the dates. I want my students to understand, not just memorize.
